Why the need for an electronic Practice Management Application solution?
The need arises in optimizing your practice, enabling you, the practitioner, to focus on your patients. Our program allows you to practice efficiently, more accurately, and to a higher standard of care than was possible with paper. What we wish to head towards is an almost paperless office.
Here are some of the great features that the new advanced elixir programme offers to make the running of your practice smooth sailing:
Customizable Clinical Templates
- Service providers can pre-define all their clinical documents using the Elixir Clinical Template feature. This enables the service provider to link all clinical notes and documents to a selected patient within the program. Easy access to clinical notes and documents are stored in the Clinical Information viewer.
- When defining the contents of the Clinical Template, Elixir allows the user to specify mail merge fields directly from the database. This ensures that a single Clinical Template can be setup to be used for all patients.
Voice Recording Capability
- Elixir has the ability to link previously recorded voice recording files, in *.wav format, to a particular patient
Interfacing with Clinical Equipment
- Elixir has a built in interface with Trophy, Gendex, and Schick; all dental imaging programs. This interface allows users to link all dental images recorded within these programs to each patient.
Dental Charting
- The NHRPL indicates that certain dental procedures require the user to specify tooth / teeth numbers. Elixir allows for the posting of dental procedure codes and specifying these tooth / teeth numbers using either a Standard Dental Chart or the Tooth selector.
- To keep the dental history of a patient, the user can now link this to multiple dental charts to a particular patient. This can also be stored in the clinical notes viewer to keep record of procedures done for a patient.
Clinical Structures
- A Structure comprises of user defined preset data elements. The Structure has been designed to replace the paper questionnaires or forms that a service provider typically completes when interviewing or examining a patient. The Structured data template is a visual tool that is used to place data components on electronic formats.
Imaging (All Graphic Fomats)
- Elixir caters for most types of graphical file formats, *.JPG, *.TIF, *.GIF and *.BMP and DICOM.
- Images can be linked to each patient using the Elixir clinical information viewer. These images are saved as part of your elixir database.
- The Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) standard is aimed at allowing simplified development for all types of medical imaging. The DICOM Standard has reached a state of maturity and has been embraced by the majority of medical equipment manufacturers. Radiologists and service providers of other specialties increasingly use digital image analysis and computerized patient data management systems in their hospitals and practices.
- Lab results can now be attached in as an attachment to the patient file.
Diary
- The diary enables the receptionist to keep record of patients booked. The Dr has easy access to view his appointment for the day as well.
- The Service provider has a clear indication as to the number of patients waiting in his surgery by means of highlighting of colors to show the arrival of patients.
Macros for Dentist
- Pre-defined macros and combination of lab macros especially developed for a dentist so that inserting transactions is by a click of a button.
These are but a few of our unique features.
