DHS Becomes Bytes Healthcare Solutions
Digital Healthcare Solutions, a wholly-owned Bytes Technology Group subsidiary and the owner of Med-e-Mass, has changed its name to Bytes Healthcare Solutions.
Hennie du Plessis, Chief Executive Officer of Bytes Healthcare Solutions says: “We were the only Bytes Technology Group subsidiary to have an identity that was entirely different from that of the
Bytes family. Whilst reviewing our corporate identity last year, we decided that there were benefits to be gained from aligning closer to Bytes. These include increased recognition due to the group’s standing and reputation, and a more visible association with the Bytes, Altron and Kagiso brands.”
Digital Healthcare Solutions was created out of a merger of two separate, competing businesses, MediSwitch and QEDI, in 2001. Over the past seven years the company has, through its operating brands Switch and Med-e-Mass, entrenched its position as a key IT provider to the private healthcare sector. “Our focus has been on delivering solutions and services that enable healthcare businesses to operate more efficiently and effectively. We will continue with our efforts to ensure that through our solutions, more of the healthcare Rand is spent on healthcare.”
“The name change will not have any effect on the relationship that customers have with Med-e-Mass. Where possible, we are going to increase the leverage of our relationship with Bytes Technology Group and Altron family companies to refine and enrich our solutions, thus ensuring that the proposition to doctors and medical practices becomes even more compelling,” concludes du Plessis.
