Journals

In large companies the normal practice is that all journal entries have to be authorised or catered for in some type of control system. This is not so common in smaller practices. If you do not use the various journal types in the program it would be an idea to create you own.

You could have separate journals to establish where you are losing money

• Bad debt
• Levies unpaid written off
• Short payments 
• Refund
• Medical aid reversals.

Stock

Even if you do not use the stock control functionality of our software, the software still produces reports on all material and drugs dispensed.  It may be a good idea to keep tabs on this and this should assist you in establishing what stock levels should be in the dispensary or stock cupboard.  Statically you can establish your most used drugs or consumables.
