System Requirements

Because ME+ is a client server program it only needs the computer to access the database.  For this reason  ME+ does not need workstations on a network to have high hardware specifications. 

Hardware requirements are determined primarily by the operating system that needs to be supported and not by ME+ resources.   When using ME+, the workstation’s hardware specifications must be in-line with Microsoft’s recommendations for the operating system installed on it. e.g. Windows XP.

ME+ is scalable from the smallest MS DOS machine to the largest Windows NT server. The same database server can be shared among versions of ME+, running on different operating systems. Users familiar with ME+ on any operating system will be able to use it on another operating system with no additional training.

Recommended configurations

Data Backup Requirements

Any commercially available data backup software can be purchased and used.  Med-e-Mass Support Consultants can assist users in pre-setting and defining backup procedures that will suite their individual needs.

Network Requirements

ME+ uses the TCP/IP based network protocol.  When configuring a Wide Area Network (WAN) server, please take note that a dialup or ADSL connection is required in order to connect to the data server.
